With its first foray into the Web, city government was concerned of how it could gets its arms around a website that adequately represented its complex operations and also met the challenges of delivering updated, current information. |

To avoid the prospect of the site getting bogged down in abstract discussions, we conducted a series of meeting with city government leadership and the primary areas of operation. Based on these discussions we arrived at a baseline feature set that identified primary operations of the city and met the immediate needs of the site visitors. Web-based site administration was organized to keep the interface simple and easy to maintain. |

The city government offices received a number of plaudits from residents after its launch and the staff is delighted with the opportunity of safely and easily updating content on the site with minimal imposition on staff workload. Plans have already started rolling in adding new areas and features to the site. |
